Each family compound follows this divine plan and spatial orientation: the family temple for the deified ancestors is the head - located northeast to honor the holy mountain in the north and Siva in the east, the living space are the body or torso - the kitchen to the south as Brahma is the god of fire, sleeping quarters with the beds facing north or east, and the back of the home are the feet - outside the walls. "
