In Balinese Hinduism, the spirits are manifested in a number of realizations: as either Rangda, or a number of different kinds of Barong... he may be shown as lion, tiger, or even as forest pig. Rangda herself is usually portrayed with a scary face and long dark hair.
Other realizations (even evil ones) are equally important - Rahwana, an evil King and Jauk, another mean spirited character.
